Role of ascorbic acid and appetite stimulants on a few blood serum biochemical characteristics in pregnant Iraqi ewes under heat stress

This study evaluated the effect of VêO® premium (2 or 4)g and ascorbic acid on pregnant ewes some minerals. Twenty Iraqi are aged 2-4 years in Fallujah, Al-Anbar Government regions from August 5th, 2019, to February 9th, 2020. The were divided randomly into four groups. It was fed naturally one diet, (G1) given 4 g, (G2) 2 (G3) 40 mg, (G4) treated as control group. Blood samples taken monthly via external jugular vein before during pregnancy. serum liquated tubes immediately stored at -20 °C until assay for analysis calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium magnesium. results showed Premium calcium concentration G2 Phosphorous significantly higher (P≤0.05) (G1, G2, G4) pregnancy, but no significant difference potassium between groups Sodium G3, Magnesium pregnancy concluded current that addition (40 mg) feed increased minerals ewes.
